"You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems." James Clear
Organization Xcellence
We adopt a holistic approach to OX. Our aim is to achieve higher levels of performance through a culture of continuous improvement, optimized processes, and data driven decision making. This requires aligning people, processes, and technology through a structured approach to planning, tracking, and measuring progress.
THE 3 STEPS TO OX
As businesses grow there is added complexity. Three challenges emerge:
Lack of Clear Direction
Lack of Alignment
Lack of Accountability
We address each of these in three phases:
Organization Culture
Organization Design
Organizational Rhythm
CULTURE
DIRECTION
Setting a VISION: A clear and compelling statement of what your organization aims to achieve.
Creating the VALUES: Establishing a set of guiding principles that reflect your organization's identity and culture.
Defining the BEHAVIORS: Establishing consistent actions that reflect the values of the company.
DESIGN
ALIGNEMENT
A clear structure with well-defined roles and clear responsibilities is essential to achieve effective communication, collaboration, and avoiding duplication of effort or confusion about responsibilities.
Hiring competent people for the strategic roles in the company is the critical force behind success. This team have a strong sense of belonging, have a stake in the results (through profit sharing) and provide the stability and backbone to any organization’s continuous growth.
RHYTHM
ACCOUNTABILITY
Mutual accountability leads to greater results as it enables a team to achieve performance levels greater than the individual bests.
By making team members commit to executing their individual task to the group, a contract is created between team members and not towards the leader.
There are 4 steps to the process:
1.PLAN: Collectively set yearly and quarterly targets.
2.MEASURE: Create a dashboard which measure leading indicators.
3.ALIGN: Creating the right rhythm of meetings and discuss solutions to roadblocks.
4.ACT: Breaking down every initiative into SMART tasks and use task management tools to measure progress.
